Why I Photograph Nature

While my portrait photography is for my clients—it’s about capturing their memories and their stories my nature photography is a gift I give myself. It’s where my heart feels most at home.

When I’m out in nature with my camera, I feel completely at peace, surrounded by God’s incredible handiwork. Watching a wild animal in its natural habitat—just being itself—is awe-inspiring and humbling. I marvel as light spills across the sky, painting it with color and motion. And on clear nights, when I look up and see stars scattered across the heavens—planets glowing silently in the distance—I’m reminded of how vast and beautiful this world truly is. Most people never take the time to look up and see the vastness above them—the millions of stars, distant planets, and the quiet majesty of the universe. It’s awe-inspiring and reminds me how small we are and how big God is.

My nature photography is more than pictures. It’s my way of pausing, breathing, and soaking in the wonder of creation. It’s where I feel most alive and connected to something far greater than myself.
